These Terms of Business apply to all tutoring services and related services provided by NordicTutors, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Lessons and conditions.

We offer both online and in-person tutoring. Online tutoring is available for students across Denmark and internationally. For in-person tutoring, lessons are held at a local library or another suitable public study space. For the safety and well-being of both the tutor and the student, tutoring sessions are not held in private homes.

Unless otherwise agreed or stated, a standard tutoring session are typically 60 minutes long. It is possible for the student/parent to have a longer session, and that can be arranged after agreement between parent and the tutor and given the tutor’s availability.

Lesson times are arranged directly between the student/parent and the tutor, based on availability and preferred schedule. While we aim to provide continuity, there may be periods where a tutor is unavailable due to holidays, illness, exams, or other circumstances.

Any cancellation of a lesson must be notified to the tutor at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson. It is important that the cancellation is made directly to the tutor. If the lesson is cancelled too late, one full lesson may be charged. 

Tutoring packages, exam preparation packages, and subscriptions are valid for a limited period from the date of purchase. The validity for each package is mentioned in the “Lessons and Prices” page. For any requests or questions, please reach out to info@nordictutors.com

For the Monthly subscriptions, which is renewed monthly has a minimum binding period of 4 months

Unused lessons cannot be used after the validity period has expired, unless otherwise agreed.

Unused lessons may be refunded within the validity period of the purchased package. Refund requests must be submitted to NordicTutors before the package expires. Any used lessons, completed subscriptions, or late-cancelled lessons are non-refundable. Refunds are processed within 14 business days after approval. Similar refund models are commonly used in the tutoring industry. 

Tutoes and Qualifications

We carefully match students with tutors based on the subject, academic level, curriculum, personality, and preferred lesson format. If a tutor is not the right fit, NordicTutors will do its best to assign a new tutor at no additional cost. We cannot guarantee that a replacement tutor will have the exact same availability or qualifications as the original tutor. Tutor replacement guarantees are common practice among Danish tutoring providers. 

Our tutors are selected based on:

• Strong academic backgrounds

• Subject knowledge

• Communication skills

• Teaching experience

• Familiarity with curricula such as IB, IGCSE, gymnasium, and university courses

Majority of our tutors are university students or graduates.

Payment and Fees

Lessons and packages are generally paid in advance.

The payment is made through Stripe, which involves paying through your credit card. Once you have decided on the package, you will receive the payment link.

If student/parents wish, they can also pay with an Invoice, which they will receive on the mail they provide. Please note, that the invoice payment takes up to 4 business days to process, whereas stripe payment happens right away.

For larger packages, payment in instalments may be available upon request. Please reach out to info@nordictutors.com for the agreement.

For in-person tutoring, additional transport fees may apply if the tutor has significant travel time to the agreed location. If and any transport fee will always be agreed with the student or parent in advance. Transport fees are commonly applied when tutor travel exceeds a reasonable distance or travel time. 

NordicTutors cannot guarantee specific academic results, grades, or exam outcomes. Our tutors provide guidance and support, but the student’s own effort and participation are essential to the learning process.

All personal information shared with NordicTutors is treated confidentially and used only for the purpose of arranging and providing tutoring services. We do not share personal information with third parties without consent, unless required by law.
